Mahdi Ansari is a Ph.D. candidate and researcher in software engineering at the University of Calgary with a strong focus on leveraging artificial intelligence to support software development processes. His research explores the intersection of natural language processing, machine learning, and software engineering, with a particular emphasis on component-based software development and developer support tools.

At the heart of his work is the challenge of understanding how developers express requirements and concerns in natural language, and how these expressions can be used to inform intelligent tooling for software component selection, quality assessment.
