My name is Kelly Shiptoski, and I am starting my second year of the PhD program for Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. My advisor is Dr. Joseph Deviettil. I graduated from Drexel University in 2017 with Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. My research interests lie within computer architecture and computer systems, and my current research project involves creating a system that allows for runtime determinism enforcement for reproducible builds. I have not attended very many conferences yet, but I feel like I have learned so much from the few I have attended, and that is why I am so excited about attending this one. It is always great to learn at conferences related to your research field, but this conference is outside of my field, and so I will be able to learn about state of the art research happening in a field I am less familiar with! I am also looking forward to meeting computer science researchers from all over the world who are tackling exciting problems.
