Author Registration Policy:

Each accepted submission must be presented in person by a co-author at the conference.
Authors of conference papers (Research Track, Industry Track, RE@Next), Journal First papers, and the Doctoral Symposium are required to register by 19th April 2024, 23:59 Icelandic time (UTC+0).
Authors of Posters/Tool Demo papers and workshop papers are required to register by 3rd May 2024, 23:59 Icelandic time (UTC+0).
Each full conference registration covers up to a total of two papers in any track or workshop.
Each main conference registration covers up to a total of one paper in any track of the main conference (Wed-Fri), but not in workshops.
Each Monday-only or Tuesday-only registration is valid for one paper at a workshop during the registered day. Authors can attend any of the other events during the same day.
Each paper (Research, Industry, Re@Next, Journal First), Poster/Tool Demo, must be covered by at least one of the authors registering at the non-student rate.
As the only two contribution types, doctoral symposium papers and student posters can be covered by student registrations.

Accommodation Booking:

We have reserved rooms at several hotels. These can be booked during the registration, but only until 15th April 2024. Please see our information page on Accommodation for details.

Full payment is required upon booking via on-line card payments. Accepted credit cards are VISA and Mastercard. On-line payments are guaranteed through 3D secured site. Make sure your card is 3D secure compatible. If you need assistance, please contact KOMUM conferences.

Note for Visitors from the United States

Iceland uses cards with the chip-and-PIN system, which requires a 4-digit PIN for purchases. If you have a traditional “swipe and sign” card, you may wish to inquire about getting a chip-card from your bank or a major credit card issuer before travelling.

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be done in writing. Cancellation is not confirmed until you get an e-mail confirming your cancellation. Please email KOMUM conferences to cancel or change your accommodation booking, at least 30 days prior to your arrival date to avoid additional fees. If you need to cancel your accommodation booking within 30 days of your arrival date, any cancellation fees will be subject to the hotel cancellation policy. Neither the organising committee nor KOMUM conferences can be held responsible for any financial loss resulting from exchange rate fluctuations.
