Welcome Reception (25th June)

The Welcome Reception for RE ’24 will take place on Tuesday evening, 25th June 2024, at Reykjavik University. We will meet in the spacious and bright entrance area of the university, aptly named the “Sun”. Details will be announced closer to the conference.

Conference Banquet (27th June)

The Conference Banquet for RE ’24 will take place on Thursday evening, 27th June 2024, at Harpa, Silfurberg. The Harpa concert hall is one of Reykjavík’s most striking landmarks and a centre of cultural and social life in the very heart of the city. Harpa is a tourist destination and an award-winning work of art that has been visited by millions of people since opening in 2011.

Harpa is home to the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Icelandic Opera and Reykjavík Big Band, which hold regular concerts throughout the year. Múlinn Jazz club also resides in Harpa as well as the Classical Sundays Series, both offering concerts on a regular basis.

The banquet will be held in the Silfurberg room of Harpa. Silfurberg is a large conference hall on the second floor, with theatre style seating for an audience of up to 840. During the banquet, the seating will be changed for a more festive ambience. In addition to Silfurberg, we will have the open space right in front of the hall, Eyri. Eyri is especially well suited for exhibitions, coffee breaks, or standing receptions in relation to events held in Silfurberg.
