Influence and Be Influenced: the Leadership Balance
We (the authors and workshop facilitators) believe that “Adapt - Uncovering better ways to deliver valuable software products”, although rooted in correct and innovative practices, is ultimately a human endeavor, based on the collaboration and continuous learning of the human network that brings life to the organization.
It goes without saying that, in all this, the way leadership is understood, applied and evolved is pivotal — and both authors have extensive experience with working on leadership themes in complex organizations.
This workshop is designed to explore leadership dynamics, collaboration, leader-follower partnership, and accountability within evolving organizations. Participants will engage in interactive exercises and discussions aimed at enhancing self-awareness, fostering trust, and navigating complex systems.
The distinctive, almost unique trait of this workshop is the idea of balancing control and autonomy, fostering accountability through deliberate choice, and sustaining networks obscured by organizational processes.
Leadership challenges, such as managing conflicting targets and overcoming autopilot thinking, will be addressed using frameworks like the Dilt’s leadership model, polarity mapping and others.
