Birgitta Böckeler

Birgitta is a software developer, architect, and technical leader who is passionate about helping teams and organizations break down complexity, and find new perspectives to look at their systems. She has spent her whole professional career so far in software delivery consulting, which gave her the opportunity to see many organizations and teams succeed and fail at delivering valuable software.

Birgitta regularly speaks and writes about software-related topics, most notably architecture cultivation and governance, pair programming as a catalyst for high-performing teams, and diversity in the technology industry.

Darja Smite

DARJA ŠMITE is a professor of software engineering at the Blekinge Institute of Technology, where she leads research efforts on globally distributed software development, outsourcing, remote and hybrid work. Her research interests include WFH, virtual teams, large-scale agile software development, team performance and organisational decentralisation. In her research, Šmite works closely with software companies, including Ericsson, Spotify, Telenor, Storebrand, SONY, ABB, Tieto, and many others. Šmite is also a part-time research scientist at SINTEF in Norway.

Joshua Kerievsky

Joshua began his career as a professional programmer on Wall Street while still in university. In 1996, he founded Industrial Logic (http://industriallogic.com) to share the “light and magic” of software development. During the late 1990s, Industrial Logic helped pioneer lightweight software methods and today is considered one of the oldest and most well-respected agile consultancies in the world. Joshua and his global team of experts love to help people and teams leverage wisdom in software engineering and product management. He and his colleagues have helped organizations including Google, GE, John Deere, Nielsen, and Ford grow high-performance teams that deliver better software sooner. Joshua is an international speaker, and author of the bestselling and award-winning book Refactoring to Patterns, as well as his newest book, Joy of Agility.

Emily Bache

Emily Bache is an independent consultant, YouTuber and Technical Coach. She works with developers, training and coaching effective agile practices like Refactoring and Test-Driven Development. Emily has worked with software development for over 25 years, written two books and teaches courses on platforms including Pluralsight and O'Reilly. Emily founded the Samman Technical Coaching Society in order to promote technical excellence and support coaches everywhere.
