How can complex IT landscapes in a large organization increase long-term viability as well as delivery success by applying an agile way of thinking combined with proven enterprise architecture strategies?

The agile approach is very suitable to rapid development and customer-focused features. In large companies with legacy systems this can result in short-term decisions that lead to a proliferation of unaligned developments with big negative consequences. Lack of long-term planning, documentation and control of IT assets has resulted in some high-profile IT disasters. This has made many people in charge of running enterprise-wide IT departments skeptical of the agile approach.

The workshop seeks to provide answers to the question “What is the right balance between short-term and long-term architectural design and how does it provide a foundation for confidently delivering large complex solutions?”.

The ultimate goal of this workshop is to confront the skepticism of agile in large companies and remove some of the false interpretations of agile while leveraging proven enterprise architecture strategies.
