Bio:

I’m a PhD candidate in Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. My research focus is on collaboration and creativity within software teams.

Prior to commencing my PhD, I worked in industry for 20+ years, in a variety of roles ranging from engineer to product manager to leading a large engineering team for a major investment bank. This work was predominantly in technology teams in the financial services domain. I worked in a variety of distributed teams and this experience drives my interest into how software teams work.

I have a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Computation from the University of Oxford and a MSc in Advanced Computer Science from Manchester University, UK.

I’m originally from the UK and moved to Southern California a few years ago.
