For the paper titled “A Theory of Scientific Programming Efficacy” we are submitting a pdf of interview questions, theory codes (not executable code but data labels), memos, and anonymized survey results for the “Artifacts Available v1.1” and “Artifacts-Evaluated Reusable v1.1” badges. We are including the artifact in order to further disclose our process of theory construction, by revealing the intermediary steps. While participant confidentiality prevents us from releasing complete transcripts we believe that the codes and memos can be helpful for future replicability of our theory, and can serve as a reference for future researchers conducting Grounded Theory studies in Computer Science. We do not assume any specific technology skills by the reviewer, although familiarity with Grounded Theory construction and MAXQDA software can be helpful in the review process. The artifact is in pdf format so no unusual environments are required.
