ICSE 2024
Fri 12 - Sun 21 April 2024 Lisbon, Portugal

In recent years, the software engineering research community has been fostering Open Science through several initiatives. Although the transparency fostered in Open Science can address some of the concerns related to appropriate study design and data analysis methods, the community still needs to fully embrace a set of guidelines for managing research data, such as FAIR principles. A fundamental aspect of FAIR is the Research Object—i.e., a bundle of research artifacts and their metadata. In this paper, I show an example of a Research Object and discuss how formalized metadata can benefit the community.

I am an Assistant Professor at BTH, in Software Engineering department. I received my Ph.D. (cum laude) from the Department of Information Processing Science, University of Oulu, Finland. I received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Bari, Italy, and the M.Sc. degree in Information Processing Science from the University of Oulu, Finland. My research interests include agile software development methodologies, requirement engineering, psycho-cognitive studies in SE and Green SE. I also have a strong interest in methodological aspects and empirical approaches, as well as open science. I usually serve on program committees for ESEM, EASE, ICSSP, PROFES conferences. I am a member of ACM and IEEE Computer Society.
