I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. I received my PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, in June 2018, which was funded by Science Foundation Ireland. I received my MSc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2012 and BSc in Computer Engineering from Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran, in 2010. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Distributed Systems Group and Future Cities research group at Trinity College Dublin, before joining UCD in February 2019.
My current research focus is on developing AI-based algorithms to solve problems such as climate change and sustainability in applications such as smart energy grids and transportation with a special focus on user preference modelling, goal identification and dependency modelling and conflict resolution through agent-based modelling and collaboration.
