Sultana Lubna Alam is an Associate Professor with over 19 years of experience in research, teaching, and engagement. Central to her research is a focus on the nature of emerging, often disruptive, technologies (e.g., social media, crowdsourcing, mobile technologies, AI) and their impact on individuals and organisations, with a particular focus on public sector and not-for-profits. Current research expertise includes Emerging technologies, Digital transformation and innovation, Crisis driven DT, Business value of IT and competitive advantage, Relational governance, Co-creation and co-design, Responsible AI and cyber-physical systems, Privacy and Trust, Social media, Crowdsourcing and Technology innovation in higher education. Lubna was the recipient of a 2012 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and the Dean’s Emerging Research Leader award at the University of Canberra in 2016. Lubna has been invited to multiple industry panels and presentations and has served in industry committees in Government 2.0 and digital transformation.
