A Proposal For An Architectural Model For Reconfigurability Quality Attribute Requirements For Industry 4.0 Middleware Software Architectures
Thu 19 May 2022 13:45 - 14:00 at SERP4Iot room - Invited session - Architecture Chair(s): Shah Rukh Humayoun
Industry 4.0 (I4.0) is about creating an intelligent network of machines to handle increasing readjustment in the production system and increase productivity effectiveness.
The requirements for the reconfigurability of the Cyber-Physical System (CPS) that implements the production systems can be supported by an appropriate architectural model.
This paper proposes an architectural model for reconfigurability quality attribute (QA) requirements for I4.0 middleware software architectures. The contribution of the paper is 1) a proposal of a definition of reconfigurability as a QA in the context of I4.0 middleware, and 2) a template to specify reconfigurability quality attribute scenarios for I4.0 middleware.
