Professor Maxim has worked as a software engineer, project manager, professor, author, and consultant for more than forty years. His research interests include software engineering, user experience design, game design, artificial intelligence, and computer science education. His professional experience includes managing research information systems , directing an instructional computing lab, working as a statistical programmer, and serving as a game company chief technology officer.
