I have been living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for more than 30 years. After receiving my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computing Science from University of Alberta, I worked in the IT industry in Edmonton for more than 15 years. I am very proud of the strong IT community in Edmonton. In 2012, I thought it was my turn to contribute to train the next generation of IT practitioners. Therefore, I quitted my job and went back to school for a Ph.D. degree in Computing Science at University of Alberta.
After finished my Ph.D. program in 2019, I was employed by MacEwan University as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science. MacEwan University has strong tradition and reputation in teaching. The opportunity allows me to combine my IT industrial experience with computer science education, while continuing with my research.
