Bio:

Dr.Fatima Sabir completed her PhD in Software Engineering under the supervision of Professor Ghulam Rasool from COMSATS University Lahore, Pakistan in 2019. The research area of her PhD thesis was focused on Design patterns/antipatterns recovery for Web services and improvement in the REST APIs with the help of tool support . The proposed approach is evaluated by major REST API providers like Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter. During her PhD, she availed International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) of HEC Pakistan and served as visiting research fellow at Ecole Polytechnique, the University of Montreal under Professor Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc and Professor Naouel Moha from the University of Quebec Montreal (UQAM).

She has successfully completed her Postdoctoral fellowship funded by Mitacs under Professor Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc at the Department of Computer Sciences, Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Concordia, Canada from March 2020 to December 2021. Her Postdoctorate research mainly focused on building open-source robot applications by customizing their generic features. She has successfully completed the industrial IoT lab by completing the lab requisition and quotation from industries across America from March 2020 to December 2021.

Currently, She is working as a Tenure Assistant Professor Department of Computer Sciences at Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan and is also part of the PTIDEJ research team headed by Professor Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc. She also has a teaching experience of 10 years in different universities in Pakistan as a lecturer and as an Assistant Professor.
