Dr. Liscano is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, at Ontario Tech University, Canada. He received a Ph.D in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1998. His research career has spanned across academia, government research institutions, and private industry. Dr. Liscano’s main areas of research are: mobile and pervasive computing, sensor networks, distributed systems, and software engineering. He has published more than 185 peer reviewed journal and conference publications and co-inventor in 13 patents. He is a member on several conference technical committees related to mobile computing, wireless networking, ubiquitous computing, and software engineering. He is a senior IEEE member (Computer and Communications Society) and licensed professional engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
